Form National Forum
A group of Tryon men met last night at the home of Nelson Jackson, Jr.
and discussed plans for forming in Tryon a national forum for the pur
pose of studying, discussing national problems and to come to definite
conclusions about them and then make every effort to have these prob
lems considered by the government, A Ways and Means committee was
appointed composed of Maj. B. Sharp, Rev. Chas. G, Sewall and Nelson
Jackson, Jr.
Mrs. G. J. Cherry Dies
News has been received in Tryon of the death in Charleston of Mrs.
Emma Lee Mayo, wife of Gisbourne J. Cherry. She died yesterday after
noon. Remains at Connelly Memorial chapel. Funeral notice not given.
