C., WEDNESDAY, JAN. 30, 1935 Saluda High Wins Over Hendersonville Hendersonville, Jan. 29.—Hen dersonville high lost two games to Saluda’s strong outfits here Tues day night, the visitors winning the girls’ clash, 19 to 12, and the boys’ engagement, 21 to 18. The boys’ contest was exceptionally well played and the winner in doubt x ntil the final whistle. The lineups: Saluda—Heatherly, f (6) ; Stat on, f 03) ; Johnson, c (3); Ward, g (5); Hall, g (4). Hendersonville—Aiken, f (0) ; Lyda, f (7); Brown, c (4) ; Turn er, g (5) ;• Granakos, g (0). Subs: Hendersonville, Heaton 2. Drama Fortnightly The first performance of the Drama Fortnightly -will be pre sented Thursday night instead of tonight on account of the Presi dent’s Ball. The ticket holders for Wednesday will get reserved seats on Thursday, and the Thursday patrons will attend on Friday. This change was made in view of the fact that the President’s Ball was a national ffair. Everything Set for President’s Ball Chairman S. T. Wood stated to day that everything was ready for the President’s Ball tonight at Oak Hall. Ticket sales indicate that there will be a nice attendance, many people bought tickets today and others will come at the last moment to enjoy the gayety of the occasion. A splendid orchestra, beautiful decorations, delicious re freshments, and a number of val uable prizes will add their attrac tions. This will probably be the last big dance until the spring Horse Show activities. Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Richards have done everything possible to makd the ball delightful in every way. The admission is $1- per person. 25 cents extra for box seats for those who do not care to dance. TICKETS AT DOOR Admission tickets to the Presi dent’s Ball at Oak Hall Wednes day evening will be on sale at the doors. Ticket sales at Oak Hall on the evening of the ball will be in charge of Seth M. Vining and James Baker. Box Seat tickets can be % secured by telephoning Oak Hall. Est. 1-31-28
