I the Reservations Committee of the
Tryon Horse Show requests all
those desiring the same box seats
and parking spaces that they had
last year to get in touch with him
at once. The chart has been made
and he knows the exact location
of your space last year. If you
want the same space or would like
to change see him now before it is
too late. The Show will be held
April 10th.

“Heaven Bound”
Tonight
The All-Negro cast presenting
“Heaven Bound” will appear to
night at the Parish House under
the auspices of the Women’s
Missionary society of the Tryon
( Methodist church.
Tryon League Plays
Basketball Tonight
The Tryon League basketball
teams play tonight at the Tryon
gymnasium. The first game will be
between the Firemen and Indus
trials and the second between the
Merchants and Soumerco-Lynn.
The Tryon Fire Department was
called to extinguish three fires the
past week. First at the home of
Archie Butler, next was a field near
the home of Mrs. James Jackson,
and Wednesday at the home of L.
G. Ratcliff, colored.
Teachers Meet On
Saturday
Superintendent Charles Erwin
of Cool Springs district, Forest
City, will address the teachers of
Polk county on Saturday morning
at 10 o’clock at the Stearns school
auditorium. Mr. Erwin is a broth
er of State Superintendent Clyde
Erwin, but is a better speaker.
Dr. Taylor Preaches
Dr. Taylor, who has taken a
keen interest in our Bible class
study and Boy Scout work since
coming to Tryon. will preach at the
Episcopal church next Sunday
morning at 11 o’clock.
Basketball Tonight
At Stearns School
Hendersonville high school boys
and girls will play the Columbus
high school tonight at 7:30 at
Stearns school. A chicken supper
will be served from 6 to 8 p. m.
for the benefit of the athletic fund.
Kiwanis-Rotary
Tomorrow
The Kiwanis and Rotary clubs
meet in joint session tomorrow at
1 o’clock at Oak Hall. The speak
ers will be Coleman W. Roberts,
president of the Carolina Motor
Club. Subject “Drivers’ License
and Greater Safety on our Pub
lic Highways.”
