C., THURSDAY, APRIL 4, 1935 Vol. 8 Remarkable Growth Os The Tryon Bank & Trust Go. ) The remarkable growth of the K J Tjryon Bank & Trust Cbmphny has been recorded in the Tryon Daily Bulletin from time to time as statements have been published every quarter. In this issue -of the Bulletin is published a condensed statement as of March 4. It shows ian increase in deposits over last quarter (three months ago) of $50,000.00. Deposits on December 27, 1934, were $330,296.24. On March 4, they had increased to $380,852.09. The bank is a mem ber of the Federal Reserve System and deposits are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Cor poration. Free Movies Here Saturday Morning The Riding & Hunt club will present some free moving pictures on Saturday morning at the Tryon Theatre for the benefit of farmers of Polk county. There will be two shows lasting an hour each. The first begins at 9 a. in., and the second showing begins at 10 a. m. Manager C. W. Nessmith hasi donated the use of his theatre for the purpose. Moving pictures of the mountains of Western North Carolina showing wild animals and forest fires will be among the chief features of the six reel show. DONORS TO HOSPIT AL ARE ADDED TO LIST President Chas. G. Sewall of the iSt. Luke’s Hospital Association announces an additional list of donors to the increasing member ship of the St. Luke’s Hospital Association which is seeking funds to maintain the charity work of the hospital. Anyone desiring to donate to this fund may send his check to B. L. Ballenger or direct to the hospital. The additonal members are as follows: Miss Mar garet Sheppard, Jerry D. Drew, T. A. Rippy, M. J. Pettigrew, Mrs, Edgar E. Leonard, Mrs. Chas G. Little. Townsend Plan Speaker To Be In Columbus On Sat. W. B. Fisher, state manager of the Townsend Pension Plan wrtes that he will be at Columbus court house on Saturday, April 6, at 1 p. m., to speak on the Townsend plan. He writes that he is speak ing every day to crowds from 500 to 2,500 people. Golf Friday The woman’s Golf tournament will be held Friday afternoon at the Tryon Country club. Visiting guests in the community should arrange with the Pro, Larry Brooks, for their handicaps. Est. 1-31-28
