TAX LISTING
IMPORTANT CHANGE IN
PROCEEDURE
The law requires evei’y property
owner to appear in person or by
authorized agent each year and
list property. Listing by agent per
mitted non-residents. Heretofore,
tax listers was permitted to list for
you from last year’s list, if you
failed to appear.
Now listers are not permitted to
do this; our instructions from
headquarters are as follows:
“The owner must list in person
or by authorized agent, otherwise
property be listed by Chairman of
County Commissioners as DELIN
QUENT, after close of listing.
Penalty 25 percent for non listing.
This is important notice, as it is
a change from past custom.”
Listing will be at my office over
the A&P store, from 9 a. m. to 1
p. m. each Monday, Tuesday, Wed
nesday and Saturday, up to April
20th.
