Try on’s Big Show
The big little town of Tryon an
nounces that plans are complete
for the 10th annual Horse and
Hound Show sponsored by the
Tryon Riding & Hunt club. Wed
nesday, April 17, is the day set for
the festivities and fine horses and
dogs from several states will come
to vie with those owned by Tryon
residents. The list of entries in
cludes horses from as far South
as Palm Beach and as far Nbrth
as Virginia. Fort Benning, Ga.,
seat of the Infantry School of the
United States army, will contribute
horses, riders and other visitors.
Many residents of Spartanburg
have attended the Horse and Dog
Show at the foot of Hogback and
other mountain peaks in past
years and no doubt the attendance
from this city .weather permitting,
will be larger this year than in
previous years. Tryon is a town
worth visiting any day in the year.
It is especially so when it pre
pares to entertain.
