The Avant Electric Co., is build
ing a special line from the Town
Hall to the Polk County Telephone
office. This will be a mechanical
line for the telephone operator to
use in ringing the fire bell in an
emergency when the electric siren
should be out of order or in case
of the power lines being out of
commission.

of Miss Ruth Green.

Registration books for the Town
of Tryon and the Tryon School dis
trict will be open on Saturdays,
April 6, 13, 20 and 27. Challenge
day on May 4th.
All persons who have become 2l
years of age or who have moved
into the Town limits since the last
election will be entitled to register
in the Town registration book. All
those moving into the school dis
trict ototside the Town limits since
the last election are entitled to
registration in School District reg
istration book.
