Erwin at Green Greek State Superintendent of Educa tion Clyde A. Erwin of Raleigh will deliver the commencement address of the Green Creek school tonight. It is unusual for a small community to have the State Sup erintendent as the commencement speaker, so many of the county offi cials and the county school board will attend the exercises tonight and hear Mr. Erwin. Income Tax Notes Washington, April 9. lncome taxes collected in North Carolina during March amounted to $4,- 367,719.86, as compared with $3,- 239,656.38 in March, 1934, accord ing to figures made public today by the Burea uof Internal Reve nue, based on telegraphic reports. The increase of $1,128,963.48 is 34 per cent above the 1934 figure. Commissioner Guy T. Helvering said an increase in receipts from income taxes occurred in every col lection district except Hawaii. The total amount collected in March this year was $321,726,348.39, com pared with $230,348,089.83 during the same period a year ago, an in crease of $91,379,258.56, or* 39.7 per cent. —Asheville Citizen.
