Famous Cows Will
Be Here Saturday
When Admiral Byrd sailed for
the South Pole he carried with him
three Guernsey cows from the
Klondike Farms of Elkin, North
Carolina. While enroute a bull
calf was born on shipboard and
he was reared in the Antartic re
gion. The weather was so cold
that several sled dogs froze to
death, but Klondike Iceberg, the
name of the little bull continued to
grow and develop. He arrived in
New York from the South Pole on
May 8. He is nowj 17 months old
and weighs 1,050 pounds. He is
the most famous bull in the world
and has received many honors and
has attended social functions. He
was guest of honor at the Commo
dore Hotel. He is now preparing

who was bred on May 19th to
Argilia Knight, father of the fa
mous Iceberg bull,
