C., TUESDAY, JUNE 11, 1935 Est. 1-31-28 Thompson’s Case At Saluda Is Robbed w Saluda, June 10. —Frank Thomp json’s case, the Glenwood, was brok en into and robbed Saturday night, sometime after the place had been closed for the night. The thieves entered by a rear window and helped themselves to the eatables in stock and such cigarettes and other things as took their fancy. They found a small sum of money in the cash till which they confiscated. * The total loss amounts to between $125 and $l5O. —Asheville Citizen. Salt Lake City, June. 10.—The * Fedeiit'l government, nemesis of kidnapers, stamped, its claim to night upon three known suspects in the abduction of little George * Weyerhaeuser—two of them under arrest — a grim chase for four accused confederates went on throughout the West. Baseball Wednesday Tryon and Inman will play base ball Wednesday afternoon at Har mon Field. The local team needs some money for equipment and a large turn out is expected. Tryon is in good playing mood. Last Saturday the local team, played Brevard and the game stopped by rain after four and a half innings with Tryon leading 9-4. Many Go Fishing Trade street was less populated than usual this morning on account of the fishing season being open, stated Hose Arledge, local deader of fishing licenses. A report came from Lake Adger in this county that every fishing boat on the lake had been taken early this morning. Many fishermen from South Caro lina had ordered their licenses in advance in order to be at the lake first and not have to wait. R. Burton Williams is the County Game Warden. Carson Trial Eva Logan Carson, charged with assaulting her father, Lynn Car son, with a deadly weapon was tried at a preliminary hearing Monday afternoon; at the Town Hall before Justice of the Peace W. W. Cpeasman. She was bound over to the Superior Court of Polk county and placed under a S3OO bond. Attorney J. E. Shipman of Hertdersoiwille represented the state and Attorney Jack Arledge of Tryon represented the defen dant.
