Moving Foward Rapidly Some time ago, we called atten tion in these columns to the fact that Western North Carolina is going to move forward at a rapid pi?ce during the next year or two. We’d like to emphasize that statement. >The mountainous area of North _ arolina has definitely stepped out of the depression. Things are mov ing along at a rapid pace up there, and everybody is enthusiastic and optimistic about conditions as a whole There is a most noticeable change in the attitude of foil's out in the western part of the state. A year or so ago, things were just dragging along, and there seemed to be a spirit so marking time and waiting for things to happen. But that attitude is no longer in effect. Western North Carolina is up and stirring and is setting the pace for other sections of the state.— The State Magazine.
