Is Dean of Women

Miss Harriet W. Elliott has been
named dean of women of the
Woman’s College of the Univer
sity of North Carolina and will
assume the duties of that office on
July 1, according to an announce
ment by Dr. W. C. Jackson, dean of
administration. Miss Elliott suc
ceeds Miss Geneva Drinkwater who
came to the college a year ago and
resigned recently to accept a posi
tion in the history department at
Yassar college.
