The bride is a graduate of Maryville college and has been teaching in Tennessee. Golf League Players Trycn’s Country Club Golf League players will go to Forest City on Thursday afternoon to play a league match. Those going from here are F. P. Bowes, B. B. Bishop, Jr., Earl Rion, Larry Brooks, Lefty Flynn, Nelson Jack son, Jr., F. P. Biicon and Perry Hilton. They will meet from Forest City Guy Williams, M. L. Edwards, Max Watson, Frank Howard, Jack O. Lyle, Dr. Rhine hart, C. C. Blanton, L. L. Taylor. Law Trees The Tryon pine and oak trees that grew together in four differ ent p’aces as illustrated in John Hi”’s “Strange As It Seems” are owned by M:. and Mrs. A. M. Law, and are h eated near the driveway tto their new home. This unique feature will advertise Tryon all over the nation where “Strange As It Seems” is reproduced. A Fish Tale Tom Sherman of Greenville, S. C. was reported to have caught a 614-lb. bass Sunday at Lake Adger. Witnesses said it was 23 inches long and was 16 inches in circhm ference. Electrifying Program Louis A. Avant will have charge of the Kiwanis program on Tues day at 1 p. m., at Edgewood Inn. R. H. Brady, local insurance man, will give the current events talk. Est. 1-31-23
