Firemen Duck Chief The Tryon Firemen are a live bunch of men when they get to gether far a good time as well as when they are fighting fires to save lives and property. Commissioner Ralph S. Jackson donated 14 nice frying chickens for the occasion and Chief Cook B. B. Bishop, Jr., fried them a golden brown over the open fire place at Harmon Field on Wednesday evening. Bee GloVer was a master at mixing cabbage, pickles, celery, etc., into a delicious slaw, and Wayne W r . Creasman, Spurgeon Arledge, Ar chie Butler and a number of others were busy helping prepare the feast. A highlight of the enter tainment was a mock meeting that was called to order and it voted to throw Chief W. W. Creasman in Pacolet River. A spirit of fun pre vailed.
