C., SATURDAY, JULY 13, 1935 Est. 1-31-28 Tryon To Play Canton Today The Tryon entry in the Indus trial Baseball League will make first appearance in Canton Saturday when they play the Champion Y outfit in a game which will start at 4 p. m. The local club is tied for the league lead at present in the sec ond half of the split season and will be gunning for Tryo'n full strength to preserve their position. Manager Weaver Sorrells stated that he would use the same line-up that has seen service in the past trio of games, and while unsure of his pitching choice, would probably start Charlie Schlemmer on the mound.—Canton Enterprise. Revival Services Rev. F. L. Bramblett, of Green wood, will conduct a series of evangelistic services at the Pen tecostal Holiness church, begin ning July 12th, at 7:45 p. m. Ser vices will be held at 8 o’clock each \vening for two weeks or more. - This church is located about two miles above Tryon, on the Hender sonville highway. Public invited. Be Thankful ! When you read of people dying from heat in Minnesota, the Da kotas and other Western states, be thankful that you live in Tryon. At our request the official Weather man W. W. Greasman reports the following average temperatures for Tryon: During July 76.4; August 76.1; September 71.7.
