Seven coal cars loaded with coal were thrown off and track was torn up for about half a mile. Men work- | ed all night and repaired the ! track in time for the early j morning passenger train to pass over it about 8 o’clock. A broken flange was said to have been the cause of derail ing the train. - 1 NAJJAR ROUTE MAIL CAR RIERS HOLD MEETING Mrs. Lillie Taylor has returned from a district meeting of the N. C. branch of the National Star Route Carriers’ Assn, which was held in Morganton on July 21. This district covers 35 Western North Carolina counties.
