De Loache to Sing
Here Tonight
Benjamin De Loache, noted bari
tone, will sing tonight at the Par
ish House. A number of out-of
town people from Spartanburg,
Asheville and other cities are ex
pected. Ticket sales indicate in
creasing interest in this musical
lireat. The Parish House has been
attractively decorated for the
occasion.
SERVICE CHANGED ON
ACCOUNT OF CONCERT
The Stewardship Service at the
First Baptist church will begin
earlier, st 7 o’clock tonight in or
der to dismiss in time for the
Benjamin De Loache concert. These
services have f>een very inspira
tional and well attended. All
church members are urged to be
present tonight. Visitors are wel
come.
Landrum Land To
Be Sold Saturday
A 250-acre tract on the North
Pacolet river about six miles south
east from Landrum and two Lan
drum lots are to be sold by Coun
ty Master LeRoy M. Moore at
10:30 a. m., Saturday on the 250
acre tract which is known as the
W. C. Owens estate.
A four and a half acre tract lo
cated about one and a half miles
from Landrum will also be sold at
this time, all four pieces of realty
being involved in the case of L. R.
Owens et al.. against Jesse Sane et
eL, a partition proceeding.
The two lots are situated on
Botnar avenue and front 80 feet
and extend 200 feet to the rear.—
