W. t-easman is very interesting and -nows in cold figures why Tryon has the best year ’round climate. Not many very cold days and only a few hot ones. It is just right to live in and enjoy life. Just enough disagreeable days to appreciate the many good ones. Robbery Attempted The glass front door of the Ballenger Co., was broken last night by robbers. But nothing was missed on checking up and it is thought that the burglars were frightened. Country Club Meets The annual meeting of the Try on Country club will be held on Monday at 8 p. m. Kiwanis Tuesday The Tryon Kiwanis club meets Tuesday at Oak Hall Hotel at 1 p. m. Hunting Dates Monday—Hounds leave kennels at 10 a. m. Meeting place, Block House. Wednesday—Lesrve kennels at 2 p. m. Meeting at Morgan Chapel. Saturday—Leave kennels at 10 a. m. Meeting at Lynch’s Planta tion. The Baptist Woman’s society will meet with Mrs. Keels Tuesday afternoon. Miss Ferdineinde Poppe and Betty Doubleday will return Sun day from a visit in New York. Miss Poppe visited former Tryon friends and Miss Doubleday was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Prentice Luckey and while there did voluntary work at the Union Settlement with a group of friends from the Girls Camp where she was an instructor during the summer.
