The Tryon Post Office will close on Saturday for George Washing ton’s birthday, except between 9 and 10 a. m. The banks will be closed all day. Do You Have a Hobby? It is interesting to note that ov er 52 hobbies will be exhibited on Fridav, Feb. 21 from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. at the Library under the auspices of the Lanier cllub. Chil dren 15c; adults 25c. Nothing bet ter could indicate the varied inter ests and activities of the people of the community. It will afford an opportunity for all of us to get better acquainted and to learn something delightful about our friends activities. Federation Meeting Off The Farmers Federation meet ing scheduled for Friday. Feb. 21 at Columbus has been postponed until a later date according to Tryon Manager, Claude Fisher. The roads in the county are in bad condition and it was thought best to wait until the roads dried. New Stables Built The Ford-Kimberly stables being built near Harmon Field will be finished soon and will be an added attraction for the locality. The stables will include 11 box stalls, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room and two car garage for big horse vans. It is hoped this will be the forerunner of other good stables in the community. Columbus girls defeated Salu da girls in basketball Tues. 17-15. Saluda boys won over Columbus boys 30-24.
