The Court of Honor The regular monthly meeting of the Boy Scout Court of Honor was held at the High School, Friday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 o’clock. Meeting opened with the repeating of the Scout Oath. The first part of the Court was given over to exam ination of the Colored Boy Scouts as follows:: First Class rank: Noble Han non, Allen Brown, Prince Canady, Arthur White, Malcolm Mills, Bur nette Petty, Thomas Harris, Dav id Holmes. Athletics—Odell Cana dy. Cooking—Burnette Petty, 0 dell Canady, Arthur White. Pub lic Health—Noble Hannon, Bur nette Petty. After the Negro boys had un dergone a very thorough examina tion the white Court of Honor was held. The following Scouts appearing for advancement: Tenderfoot — Lock McGeachy, John L. Thomp son, Carroll Ford. Second class— Bill Derby, James Cobb, Wm. El frink, Richard McClure. First class—Henry McGeachy. Handi craft—Edward Manville. Machin ery - Nelson Jackson, III, Priestly Conyers, III. Life Saving —Edward Manville. Pathfinding —David Cromer, Harold Taylor, Frank McFarland. Meeting closed with the repeat ing of the Scout benediction. Tryon Wins Two The Tryon girls and boys won over Landrum Friday night in basketball at the local gymnasium. The girls’ score was 22-17. Ford made high score. The boys score was 39-10. Brock and Blackwell made high scores.
