®u' ®nmn jBatlti Bulkitn Vol. 9, Est. 1-31-28. TRYON, N. C. MONDAY, MARCH 30, 1936 ENTERED AS SECOND-CLASS MATTER AUGUST S£0. i928. AT THE POST OH MCI »T TRYON. N. C.. UNDER THE ACT OF CONGRESS. MARCH 3. 1879 Hospital Report A very encouraging majority of the members of St. Luke’s Hospital Association have renewed their an nual pledges toward the support of the hospital for the coming year, and a number of new mem ffhbers have been enrolled, as a re Hsult of the appeal made by the Executive Committee yesterday. Considering the fact that many members could not be reached by reason of the fact that they were away from home when calls were made, it is confidently expected that the amount needed will be secured, and that the maintenance of the hospital is assured for an other year. The following letter, which came to the committee unsolicited, shows the spirit of many givers: “I am enclosing a check as our donation to St. Luke’s hospital as a little appreciation of what the hospital has meant to us, and the kindness of the doctors there. I wish that the check were much larger, but it carries with it a lot of good will and much gratitude.” \ There are many people in Try Jn vwho feel the same way! The committee will make a further re port when all che returns are in, and will greatly appreciate it if those who wish to contribute will make their gifts without further solicitation.
