Cv UNDER THE ACT OF CONGRESS, MARCH 3,1879 Full Afternoon Three important events are scheduled for this afternoon. D. Z. Newton, of Shelby, a promin ent supporter of Hon. Clyde R. Hoey, for governor, will address the voters at Columbus courthouse at 3:30. Dr. Esther P. Lovejoy of New York, head of the Ameri can Woman’s Hospitals, will speak at the Parish House at 4:30 in the interest of the health and public welfare of Polk county. Everyone is .nvited to this meet ing. At 3:30 at Harmon Field Tryon and Enka will engage in their first baseball game with each ether this season. So far Tryon has not lost a game and local rooters are expected to be on hand to keep up the good work. Many Masons Coming To Tryon on Monday ^ _. Delegations from Masonic lodges throughout this section will arrive in Tryon Monday night to attend the big Mason’s meeting to be held with Skyuka Lodge, A. F, & A. M., at 7 p. m. in Missildine’s ball. All towns people are requested to please refrain from using the parking spaces in the neighborhood of the lodge on Monday night in order for the out-of-town delegates to have plenty of room in parking. This will be a courtesy that will help the town. A feature of the meeting will be a one-act play to be presented by the Low Twelve ! Club members of Asheville.
