®rtmn ^Batlo ^Bulletin (The Smallest Daily Newspaper In The World) Vol. 9, Est. 1-31-28 TRYON, N. C., MONDAY, JUNE 1, 1936 ENTERED AS SECOND-CLASS MATTER AUGUST 20, 1928, AT THE POST OFFICE AT TRYON, N. C., UNDER THE ACT OF CONGRESS, MARCH 3,1879 London Letter No. 9 5, Montagu Square, May 18th Dear Mr. Vining, I fear I have neglected you of .late, but I have, I trope, an ade Iquate excuse inasmuch as I have been whirling about with two of your countrywomen, Mrs. Frank !yn Parker and Mrs John Heffron, both of Greenwich, Conn. They have, alas, departed, and we feel >at a loss to know what to do with out them. They have, however, so increased the tempo of living that both Mrs Grenfell ahd I run ev erywhere noW instead of walking! The weather the past fortnight has been perfect. Not a drop of rain has fallen from the sky. The tulips in the London Parks are a sight for sore eyes; the grass is like green velvet to the feet; the air is soft and warm upon the cheeks. This movement was started in Tryon by Judge Pless the past winter and was endorsed by the Kiwanis and Rotary clubs who took initiative in spreading the move ment throughout the state, with the view of saving many youths the fate of hardened criminalls and of redeeming them for good citizenship.
