C., UNDER THE ACT OF CONGRESS, MARCH 3,1879 McFarland-Hague Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kenneth McFarland announce the marriage of their daughter, Mary Frances, to Mr. Woodrow Lynch Hague. (The wedding ceremony was per formed this morning at 11 o’clock in the Erskire Memorial Congre gational church with the bride’s pastor, Dr. C. Arthur Lincoln, officiating, in the presence of im mediate members of both families. The bride, who has been teach ing the past two years in the Try on-Saluda district school at Lynn, is a graduate of Tryon high school and of Queens-Chicora col lege. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hague of Co lumbus and was educated at Stearns high school, Weaver, and Western Carolina Teachers college and Robinson’s Business college. He is a teacher in the Sunny View school of Polk county. Following a short wedding trip through the Smokies and in Virginia, the young .couple will make their home in YJolumbus. Boy Dies Hollis Joe Newman, 14, died earlv this morning at St. Luke’s Hospital following three week’s severe illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at Morgan’s Chapel. The lad was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Newman. Colored Woman Dies Pinola Simms, wife of Charlie Simms and sister of Clarence J ackson, the market man at the JJallenger Co., died this morning. - Funeral services Sunday at St. Luke C. M. E. Church. Election Saturday The Democrats of North Carolina and Polk county will go to the polls on Saturday to cast their votes to nominate candidates for state and coun ty offices. The polls will open Satur day morning at sunrise and close at sunset. Between 1,500 and 2,000 ballots are ex pected to be voted on. Vote for One Only County Ticket FOR STATE SENATOR F. P.
