The regis tration by churches is as follows: Baptist, 8; Congregational, 19; Episcopal, 7; Presbyterian 6; Methodist, 5. The courses, includ ing handwork, center on a study of Mexico; and Major Sharp will talk to the school on Friday morn ing at 10 o’clock about the Mexi can people. N. Y. Professor Here Prof, and Mrs. Lewis Burchard of New York City are guests at Hotel Tryon. Professor Burchard who is retired from the law col lege of New York City came to Tryon upon the recommendation of his close friend, Col. Edgar C. Leonard who bought a homesite in Tryon last year. Prof, dnd Mrs. Burchaedi are now looking over some property which they intend to lease or purchase and make Tryon their winter home. 176 Gallons Whiskey Taken Deputy Sheriff H. D. Smith passed through Tryon Wednesday afternoon with the rear seat of his car loaded with approximately 86 gallons of whiskey, the results of a raid on a distillery in the foothills of Hogback. This brought the total of whiskey siczed to 176 gallons since Saturday night. Sehalo" D. U. Fletcher of Fla. passed away Wednesday. LouisSchmeling fight postponed to Friday night account of rain.
