ENTERED AS SECOND-CLASS MATTER AUGUST 20, 1928, AT THE POST OFFICE
AT TRYON, N. C., UNDER THE ACT OF CONGRESS, MARCH 3,1879
WHY I’M A/'
STAYING OPEN
FIRST—I love and respect my
country and flag; I also love and
^ttcect my customers well enough
^Hlerve them when they need ser
vice.
SECOND—The mill people get
paid at 4 o’clock Friday afternoon,
but who wants to work hard all
day, come to town, in a hurry and
get part of what they want and
forget the rest of it.
1HIRD—The man who nut an
ad in the Bulletin, said the leading
business houses were closing for
the Fourth of July. I realize that
I am not a leading merchant at
this time, but I am hoping and
working1 hard to be one some? day.
FOURTH — I remember well
when Christmas came a few years
ago on Saturday. The big business
men of Trvon did not close until
Monday. If we can’t celebrate
Christ’s birthday until Monday
why celebrate the Fourth of July
«aturdav?
FTH—I believe that all good
rican customers will agree
with me. Furthermore, I am put
ting my name at the bottom so
people will not have to wonder who
put this in The Bulletin.
