C., WEDNESDAY, JULY 8, 1936 Scout Board to Hold Meet At Lake Lanier Members of the executive board i 'Ihe Piedmont council Boy Scouts of America, from the counties of Gaston, Cleveland, Lincoln, Rutherford, Polk, Iredell, Alexander, Caldwell., Catawba, Burke, and McDowell, will meet at the Piedmont Boy Scout camp at Lake Lanier, near Tryon, Sun day morning, July 12. The meeting will start at 11 o’clock with a short devotional ser vice conducted by Judge Bismark Capps, of Gastonia, president of the organization. The business meeting will follow. According to R. M. Schiele, camp director, more than 1,000 Scouts are enrolled in the camp for the summer and hundreds have been turned away in spite of the fact that additional accommoda tions have been added this year. ?"*\of the important business mat °7to be discussed by the board is the enlargement of the camp for future summers. Club to Hike Tryon Boys club will go on a hike Thursday to the intersection of Melrose Falls and Pacolet River and other points of interest. The boys will leave the school house at ,9:40.
