Vining and daughter, Elizabeth Annefc left this morning for Waynesville to attend the North Car ’*na , State Press Association which is holding a three day session. This afternoon the members of the press will visit the large paper mill at Canton, tonight at Hotel Gordon in Waynesville they will hear Arnold B. Cammerer, director of the National Park Service. Friday they will visit the Indian Reserva tion and the Smoky Mountain National Park. On Saturday at the business session an item of lo cal interest will be a memorial oaper read by Edith C. M. Doug /"^|of Brevard in memory of S. T. y- od, formerly editor of The Polk County News. A memorial from the Western North Carolina Press Association committee is be ing published in today’s Bulletin. The editor requests all friends to please phone in as many items to The Bulletin as you can this week-end while he is away. This is a community paper and you have made it what it is. At Rotary Friday Rev. C. P. Burrnet will be the main speaker at the Rotary club Friday, at Lake Lanier Tea Room. The new president, F. P. Bacon, will preside. THE BOYS CLUB Quoting Dr. George Taylor “The Ayes of the Tryon Boys club is 7 to 70. Jimmie Cobb. Group 1. We had 43 boys in the Boys club today. This is the most we’ve had yet.
