The young couple are spending a few days with the groom’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Rippy, of Lynn. Anniversary Dance Is A Big Success Tryon’s Theatre, which is cele brating its Third Anniversary sponsored a dance Friday night at the Tryon school gymnasium. The music was furnished by Ham and Sam, the Briarhopper Boys and Clarence from radio station WBT, Charlotte. The dance was thor oughly enjoyed by a large crowd. The prize winners will be announc ed in Monday’s Bulletin. Press Meeting Waynesville, July 10.—Members of the North Carolina Press as sccation and guests Friday morn ing visited the Great Smoky Moun tain National Park, were guests at Cherokee at luncheon, and to night attended a banquet at Hotel Gordon here at which, short talks were made by Clyde R. Hoey, of Shelby, Democratic n(omine|e for governor; U. S. Senator Robert R. Reynolds, of Asheville; William H. Smathers, Democratic nominee for U. S. Senator from New Jersey and others. The Asheville Citi zen. TRYON AT ENKA TODAY Tryon plays the strong Enka team in their second game of the Industrial League circuit this af ternoon. A good game is expected. Give them your support. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carroll and family of Crowell, Texas, visited their nephews, Broadus and Sonk Ford, while enroute to their home.
