Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Costa haVe offered the use of their fine swim ming pool to the boys of the Tryon Boys Club, for their pleasure on their hike next Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Costa are interested in the Club and the boys, and will wel come them at tHeir hfcmr^e. The boys will hike out from the School house, swim, and after the swim will pic-nic in a nearby grove which has a spring of fine fresh water. This grove and spring, the hosts have offered as a lunching place to the boys. In case of rain on Thursday the swim and hike will take place on Friday, weath er permitting. New boys are wel come at the Club and boys having guests are permitted to invite their visiting friends to the Club All parents will be indebted to Mr. and Mrs. Costa for this safe swimming pool being put at the disposal of the boys for this swim. —Dr. Taylor. William Edward Hill has gone with his grandfather, for a ten days’ visit with relatives in In man, Wellford and Spartanburg, S. C. Robert Lee Hill had a chance to go with William Edward, but he didn’t want to go, he says he had rather stay here and go to the club. It is so interesting. —Robert Lee Hill, Group. 3 BENJAMIN H. EDWARDS Landrum, S. C. July 19—Benja min H. Edwards, 43, died today at his home at Landrum, Route 1, af ter an illness of 12 years. He was a World War veteran. Funeral services will be held Monday after noon at 3 o’clock at the Green Creek Baptist church in Polk
