T. Arledge will have charge of the Tryon Rotary club program on Friday noon at Lake Lanier Inn. Dr. George Farrand T?y!cr wiTl be the chief speaker. C. J. Lynch Fetes ' Tryon Boys Club A very enjoyable affair was held today noon when C. J. Lynch gave a steak luncheon to the Tryon Boys club at Harmon Field. Forty-nine people were present including the boys, guests, and cook. The meal was cooked in pans over the large camp fire which has recently been covered so that even rainy weath er doesn’t prevent cooking. The food was served in the Boy Scout cabin where a short program was enjoyed and talks were made by the guests, group leaders and club officials assisting Dr. Taylor* in his work. An enthusiastic vote of thanks was given Mr. Lynch for the luncheon. Parents Supper The supper for the parents of the members of the Tryon Boys club which has been scheduled fov Friday night at Lake Lanier will be postponed until Monday night if it is raining on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wadley Raoul of Biltmore Forest, and Mr. Samuel Bingham, Jr., of Tryon, left Monday afternoon for New York City to meet the Raul’s daughter, Miss Jane Raoul, who landed Tuesday on the “Cham plain” after a year of study in Paris, France, as a Vassar college student. Miss Raoul has been in England for the past two weeks visiting Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bingham, of Tryon, who are spend ing some time near Southampton, The Raouls are expected to return to their home in Biltmore Forest < the latter part of this week.
