TRYON, N. C., THURSDAY, AUG. 13, 1936 PARKING SPARKS The same woman who held up traffic a few days ago by parking her automobile in the middle of the street while she went shopping did the same thing again accord ing to reports. Another woman who is a member of the Garden club and of the D. A. R. and who takes much stock in culture and so forth, stopped her car in the middle of the street right behind a man’s truck that was prop erly parked, and he couldn’t get out and go on with his work until this woman went in the post office and got her mail and chatted with friends. The state has the number of the woman’s car, but the vic tims feel that they have the wo man’s number. We would suggest at the next commissioners meet ing somebody help pass a resolu tion to have all the parking lines marked in continuous lines para lell with the street so that people can park their cars properly no matter where they stop. It is a little inconvenient for a few peo ple to park the right way, so let’s change the custom. No, that would not work people who are not con siderate of the convenience of ethers might park their cars crosswise the street, and then we would be in a jam. / ROTARY CLUB RIDAY The Tryon Rotary club will meet on Friday at 1 p. m. at the Lake Lanier Inn with Vice-president J. T. Arledge in charge of the pro gram.
