Injured in Wreck Robert Ruff of Mill Spring is recovering at St. Lukes hospital from injuries received in an auto mobile accident last Saturday at Columbus when his auto collided with a truck driven by a man by name of Nodine. Mr. Ruff’s daughter, Katherine, was also in jured but not seriously enough to stay at the hospital. U. S. On Lloyd Panther, former U. S. N. Chief Petty officer states.that the U. S. warship Kane was fired on by the Spanish Saturday was the same ship he served on for eight years. The Asheville Citizen-Times of Sunday had a picture of little Ann Fain Bowen, 20-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. K. A. Bowen. The picture was in the Baby section of the Citizen. Coggins, Jr. were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Blackwell in Ashe ville. Mrs. L. L. Meegan has returned from an extended tour of the Pa cific coast via Panama Canal, N.Y.
