Please Continued on Bock Page Tryon 44; Fletcher 0 In a game featuring the power ful driving of the backs Tryon- Saluda swept over the Fletcher high school team 44 to 0. In no phase of the game was the visitors able to match the speed and power of the locals. Last year a win was registered by a single touch down, but this year a score was run up by the team almost at will. All the team saw action with the reserves showing up well but lacking in necessary experience. Before the season closes most of these will have to take part in all the games. In spite of the one sided score, several waeknesses in the team have to be ironed out. Using a shift for the first time in the line made the going harder for the line and more practice will make it smoother. The linesman charged well and tackled hard, but the blocking was not what it should be. The backfield likewise will have plenty of work to do in block ing and clipping. In the game yesterday, touch downs were made by Staton and Blackwell. Staton, ran hard and well, time and again knifing his way through the line and being almost unstoppable. Blackwell ran the team well and did some fast stepping and broken field running. Jacobs, playing end for Tryon for the first time, showed up well. HestherJy, at tackle, was a power on defence. Gosnell and Eaton gave plenty of promise among the ' T oung substitutes. Tryon - Saluda line-un:l. end, Green, R.; 1.t., Heathefly; 1.g., Charsman; c., McGerchy; r.g., Parke”; r.t..
