Court of Honor The Boy Scout Court of Honor held its first meeting of the au tumn season at the school, Friday night, October 16th, at 7:30 O’clock. The meeting opened with prayer by Dr. Lincoln, followed with the repeating of the Scout Oath led by the Scout Executive. The meeting was presided over by R. M. Schiele, Scout Executive, assisted by Nelson Jackson, Jr., Major Bernard Sharp, Dr. C. Ar thur Lincoln, Chas. E. Bingham of Westfield, N. J., a member of the National Council, and Seth M. Vining. Scouts were advanced in rank as follows: Tenderfoot Rank: Vernon Hall, Jr. Second Class Rank: Jimmy Jack son, Seth Vining, Jr. Merit Badges: Cooking, Jimmy Cobb. First Aid: David Cromer. Public Health: Jimmy Cobb. Swimming: David Cromer. Life Scout Rank: Jimmy Cobb. Awards of previous Courts were made. The meeting closed with the re peating of the Scout Benediction. Immediately following the White Court of Honor, a Court of Honor was held at the Negro school for the Negro Boy Scouts. Torrential rains yesterday rais ed rivers in the county to flood levels and forced the closing of parts of some cotton mills along the Pacolet for brief periods.— Spartanburg Herald.
