Ruth Draper Will Appear Here Nov. 8 Tryon will enjoy an unusual and unexpected treat when Miss Ruth Draper, the world famous monolog artist will appear at Tryon’s Theatre for one performance only, Sunday afternoon, November Bth, at 3 p. m. Miss Draper has been known for many years as an artist unequalled in her field. She has literally “performed before all the crowned heads of Europe” and, wherever given, her performances have been to packed theatres. While in Try on she will be the guest of Mrs. M. B. Flynn. Tickets tfill epst $2 and $1.50, and will be on sale Monday at Missildine’s Pharmacy, or may be procured by mail from John L. Washburn. In the latter case the applications mu3t be ac companied by- check for payment in full. Only as many tickets will be sold as there are seats avail able and the principle of first come first served will be observed. The proceeds will be donated to charity. Roosevelt and Landon Speak Tonight Over NBC Radio Network With the Presidential election only three days away* both Presi dent Roosevelt and Governor Lan den will be on NBC networks to night, the former at 9:3.0 o’clock, the Republican candidate at 10:30 o’clock. WWNC’s political schedule also includes talks by Halsey B. Leavitt at 7:30 o’clock and R. E. Finch at 7:45 o’clock this evening.
