Whep our best citizens violate these rules what can you expect from the roughnecks? Think of the ex ample set even if no harm is done. To find parking space on Trade street is presenting a serious problem to the town officials and the co-operation of all citizens is needed to help solve it. When you park just any old way while you go into the post office you never know how long you’ll be in there. Other customers may be ahead of you at the window or some friend detain you for a long conversation. In the meantime a number of cars have driven up and the drivers are “cussing” the owner of the car that is parked wrongly and are shouting, “Why don’t the law do something about this?” But even if there are no cars and you have Trade street all tos yourself when you park wrongly you give the independent soul with a second hand model ‘T’ an excuse for doing the same thing on a busy Satur day. He knows that you are a “good” citizen, and can’t under stand why he is hailed into court for doing the same thing you did. Another help would be for mer chants and business people to park their cars on the other side of the street and give the custo mers a chance to park next to the stores.
