Next on the program is 'the foot ball game this afternoon at 3:30; Home Economics class banquet at 7:30 at the school cafteria; Boy Scout Court of Honor at 7:30 in the school class room; mass meet ing in the school gymnasium at 8 o’clock for the purpose of organiz ing an athletic club for men and beys. Local Girl’s Work Receives High Praise This mornjiiig’s Spartanburg Herald prints a picture of Miss Elizabeth Kerhulas, business man ager of the Johnsonial. Winthrop College weekly newspaper. The picture was published in connec tion with a story about the publi cation winning first place in the South Carolina Press Association meeting at Charleston last week. Douglas Freeman, editor of the Richmond (Va.) News and Ledger, was the judge of the contest. Miss Kerhulas is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kerhulas of Tryon, and is a graduate of Tryon high school. Spanish conflict seen battle line to involve many.
