‘f&xymx Tjjomtg (Jttrn’s VOL. 1 EDITORIAL By Richard Jacobs The interest taken by our mem bers has established itself in a very substantial way in the past few weeks. During this long period of rainy weather the club room has been open day and night, but we haven’t had large crowds at any time. The members who come out feel very much more at home and seem to enjoy the fel lowship as much as the games. Many of our troubles have been solved. Everyone however, has been patiently awaiting an oppor tunity; to go to work on our new rooms. Many of the boys showed up for work and we succeeded in cleaning up the basement enough to permit the plumbers and car penters to install plumbing fix tures and nartitions for the shower b&ihs. The materials for this work were held up a little bit, but are now on hand, which will permit us to do a great deal of the work in the basement before we move upstairs. (All of the work on the club being done by our members as a contribution to the club). His services come to the club as a contribution from Mr. George Miller and himself. Definite plans JANUARY 26, 1937 have not yet been made as to the arrangement for instruction of the boys. At the present time the most important thing to us will be the use of the shop in which we can make furniture, tables, etc., for use in the club room. Many of our members are skilled at thi°v work and are ready to go, as soon as the materials and machinery are ready. SPORTS 4k) The boxing team has laid oft work for the last week, thinking there would be something to do at the club room, and will con tinue to stand by and help with the work in the rooms until we get established in uor permanent home. The weather has been so Continued on Page Seven.
