The Hen dersonville team played by the Tryon Junior team never seriously threatened the locals. The score at the half being 18 to 4 in Tryon’s favor. Players taking part Were for Tryon: Beatson, R. Ford, Jacobs, Parker, Chapman, Mctiean and McFarland. For Hendferson ville: B. Quarles, B. Shipman, J. Gesser, Mobley and G. Shipman. The Spartanburg contest proved the more interesting of the two with Tryon grabbing the lead and never being headed off. All five players of the Tryon team, Black well, Jones, Green, Foster and A. Beatson, played well and executed plays to ring up baskets. The floor work and passing of the locals stood out better than any time yet. Spartanburg used the fol lowing men, Wood, Cabin, Whit lock, Seay, Spillers, Maffafey, Fos ter. Williams And Wood. Tonight the high school boys and girls meet the strong Saluda teams. This year Saluda has one of the best girls’ team in the county, and the boys have been jcounty champions iffor the past several years. The girls will start promptly at 7:30. In addition to the basketball games there will be three added sporting attractions which the spectators will enjoy. At Kiwanis Tuesday Tcm Costa will have charge of the Kiwanis program on Tuesday at Hotel Tryon at 1 p. m., and will have as his guest speaker, the Rev. John A. Pinckney. TRYON, N.
