These two games should be one cf the best seen in Tryon this year._ Tryon lassies have improved very much and are expected to win over the strong Converse Mill team. The girls’ team line-up: Forwards: Bertha Blackwell, Georgia Scriven, Louise Ford, Edith Preston, Lillian Ballard; guards: Dallas Wofford, Dorothy Durham, Myrtle Culbreth, Alma Covil. The Tryon boys will have a hard game and need the support of all fans. The boys from Converse have a good team. Pete Fowler the American Legion star baseball player, is captain. Fans who saw him play baseball will remember what a good worker he is and will enjoy seeing him in action. Tryon boys’ line-up: Melvin Hines, M. B. Caldwell. Harold Joy, Marion Brock, Dick Carruth, Bob Dedmondt, Walter Glover. Gray Feagan. The building will be heated so the fans can really enjoy a good game of baksetball.
