The rector, the Rev. John A. Pinckney, will conduct the class on the subject, “The Church and the World Crisis.” All persons of any de nomination are invited to attend. MRS. FRANK CRANDALL TO ADDRESS THE P. T.-A. ** * # Mrs. Frank Crandall will be the guest speaker at the Febru ary meeting of the Tryon Parent Teacher Association on Monday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at the school auditoriL.<i, Mrs. Crandall who has recently returned from a tour in Japan will have for her subject, “A Trip to Japan.” The public is invited. The hostess for the tea follow- the program will be Mrs. H. Arledge, Mrs A J Jervey, Mrs C Arthur Lincoln, and Mrs M C Palmer. WORLD DAY OF PRAYER ** * * The World Day of Prayer, which will be observed by all the churches in Tryon at the Meth odist church on Friday after noon at 3:30 o’lock, is observed on the same day by more than fifty countries. A representative from the various churches in the community will take part on the program. THE BULLETIN— Si.S(T year. TRYON, N. C., FRIDAY, FEB. Dates Announced for Riding & Hunt Club Secretary M. B. Flynn of the Tryon Riding & Hunt Club states that the dates for the most im portant events of the season are as follows,: Dog Show, March 6; Steeple Chase and Hunter Trials on March 31; Gymkhana, April 3; Horse and Hound Show, April 14. At the last meeting of the club President Carter P. Brown asked for the continued cooperation of the people of the community in putting over these events. Some of the committee chairmen were appointed as follows: Manager of Do-; Show, X. A. Powen; Manager of Hound Show, C. W. Ballenger; Judges committee, Walter C. Hill and Samuel A. Bingham; Tro phies, Mrs. Leonard Carpenter; Reservations, George A. Cathey; Paddock, C. W. Nessmith. 'Lincoln’s Birthday Today, February 12, is the birthday of Abraham Lincoln, the great president. For that reason there is no stock market report in today’s paper. Northern visitors in the Bulletin office sometimes ex press their surprise at seeing Lincoln’s picture hanging on the wall over the editor’s desk. Roose velt’s hanging up too. And it is hoped some day to add Robert E. Lee’s, Benj. Franklin’s, Henry W. Gray’s and a few others. That man is here again! In spector John E. Floyd of th?
