YOUNG MEN’S
CLUB NOTES
It is quite a task to put a club
room together with the help Os
volenteers from a membership as
diversified as ours. The boys who
are skilled enough to do this work
with a few executions, are employ
ed and the hours they can give
each week do not go far in ro big
an undertaking. But all things
working together -*o v good, we are
to spv there’s a sunrise
awaiting ?nrrnp of vou who take
tViQ t.r» look in. We have
nlumbed and built every
bit of o”r new eauipment that we
could. When we get our work shop
"omnleted and nr- manual train
ing rrc\Sr\<r. we will really have ac
complished the thing we set out to
do. Ar average of three men ahd
bovs have worked every day so
far this month, with groups of 5
or 6 f or two or three hours each
evpnine toward this end.
The prospects of our home work
shop have attracted a number of
voung men who were deprived of
this in earlier training. They are
interested in learning how to build
and repair furniture for use in
their own homes.
The unselfish efforts of the
faithful few who always attend
such projects as this should be an
inspiration and in a small measure
some compensation to our freinds,
who, thru their generosity have
made the Club possible. As the
years go by, we feel sure you will
see a good return from your in
vestment. You will find in our
membership as fine potential Citi
zens as there are in America. The
Association will play a big part in
the of these individuals
We are teaching each other how
to play and work and live our slo
gan “All for One, One for All.”
The Boxing Team will meet to
night with Carl Fortner in charge.
Everyone interested in entering the
team should be there.
Fred Davidson was elected man
ager of the club room at Thurs
day night meeting. Everyone is
happy to see Fred standing by.
There has been a great change
in the appearance of the rooms
since he took charge.
If anyone has a guitar parked in
the attic rwe would be very glad to
uSe it; We have several players
but no guitars.
