Spivey of Alex ander City, Ala., who was manager there for six years. Mrs. Spivey will join her husband in about two weeks. They are Methodists. Major Sharp To Speak To Tryon Young Men Major Bernard Sharp will ad dress the Tryon Young Men’s Association on Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the club room. A musical program will be an added feature of the meeting. TRYON, N. C., FRIDAY, Body of Saluda Man Is Found In Henderson Hendersonville, MaTch 4.—The body of J. B. Melton, 50, of Sa luda, was found at 7 o’clock Thurs day evening beside his car on a side road near the High Bridge cn the Saluda-Hendersonville high way. The bridge is about six miles from Hendersonyille. The body was found by Lloyd Lindsey, a deputy game warden, who made a report to the Hen derson county sheriff’s department. Coroner Bruce Cox, of Henderson county, and sheriff’s deputies are making an investigation. Mr. Cox said an inquest will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The coroner said no marks were found on Mr. Melton’s body and he was of the opinion death was due to a throat or lung hemorr hage.—Asheville Citizen. Teachers to Meet Supt. P. S. White announces a meeting of the Polk County School Teachers to be held on Saturday morning at ten o’clock at the Stearns school building in Colum bus. School Bill Passes Senate; House Next Senator Bacon’s bill naming J. N. Jackson, Jr., James Lankford, and Douglas Blois, of Tryon, A. M. Salley and H. G. Laughter, of Saluda, to the Tryon-Saluda ad ministrative unit board of trustees for two-year terms from expira tion of terms of present trustees was passed by the senate Thurs day and ordered sent to the house.
