So pass on. For instance the Banty Rooster, the town pet, has been photo graphed a lot lately. Seems if it would be a paying proposition for some enterprising photograph er to sell small pictures of the Banty and entitle them “The Spirit of Tryon.” It’s something to crow over anyway. The latest horse racing news in Tryon has been the race _to Buchanan's to get the little souve nir white horses on sale at a penny < ach. Old and young are wearing Ihem. Several hundred of the little horses have been sold in Tryon this week. A lot of readers seemed to get. a kick out of the “Bath Night” reminder in the Bulletin Calendar. It may have seemed useless to some, but others don’t bathe every Saturday and since spring has ar rived and tomorrow’s Easter, the reminder, we thought, not smart, but timely. ; The Toymakers’ big wooden horse has been stationed for sev eral davs across the tracks adver tising the Tryon Horse Show for April 14th. It eneourages the peo ple living on the “other side of the tracks” to attend the show. A South Carolina Tryonite ap plied to the local Post Office for a three cent stamp. She was handed a Sherman issue. Remem bering what Sherman did to the South she promptly handed it back and asked for three one-cent Continued an Page Two
