Trvon Girls Home From Conference The following Tryonites have re turned from Kanuga Lake where they attended the Young Peoples Service League camp of the Episcopal church: Misses Jeanne Huger, Betty Lee Andrews, Mary Palmer, Virginia Kelly. Miss Huger has as her guest, a fellow camper, Miss Dickie 3ailey, of Charleston, S. C., andi Miss Kelley was accompanied by Miss Mary McKinsey ol) Columbia, S. C. Miss Mary Palmer was a member at the camp. The Rev. John A. Pinckney of Tryon, rector of the Church of the Holy Cross, was director of the conference. Off for Jamboree Twenty-five thousand Boy Scouts from all over the United States are headed today toward Wash ington. D, C., where the National Jamboree will open on June 30. and last until July 9. The Tryon Scouts will leave this afternoon for Gastonia where they will be entertained at headquarters be fore leaving tonight for Washing ton on a special train. Over 100 Scouts will go from the Piedmont Council. Baseball Today Tryon and Brevard will pipy baseball this afternoon at Harmon Field at 3:30. The first game in Tryon in two weeks. A largo crowd is expected. The two teams are well-matched.
