Harper on Tuesday afternoon. The
meeting was held on the lawn

joyed as well as the interesting
talk given by Dr. C. Arthur Lin_

“Some Social Problems of the
South” wais the subject Dr. Lin
coln discussed, beginning with the
coriditions existing .through the
“share cropping,” system in the
south and ending with our local
social problems. He recommended
highly the Boys' club of which Dr.
Taylor is conducting for the third
summer and also the splendid work

reports and the regular business
was transacted. Mrs. Carroll
Rogers, the secretary, read) an in
teresting letter from Mrs. Anne
Botsworth Green in connection of
the society’s interest in the Boys’
club.
A large attendance was present
including a number of the men of
the church. During the social
hour punch and cookies were
served by the hostess, assisted by
Misses Joyce and Joycelyn
Juniper.
