The pile included Satur day Evening Post, Harpers, Scrib ner's, Cosmopolitan, Time, Literary Digest, Poultry, Home and Gar den, Readers Digest, Ladies Home Journal and a dozen other kinds . . . Tom Costa says there are more olives grown in America than in Spain and more dates than in Africa ... A car with a Cali fornia tag? on it in front of Build ers’ Supply. Col. Ben Fisher, who suffered an accident recently, from a land cave-in is smiling. - Continued on back page TRYON, N C., FRIDAY, JULY 2. 1937 Annual Hospital Pilgrimage Set Thursday, July 8, has been set as date for the annual pilgrim, age to the Spartanburg Baby Hos pital at Saluda, N. C.. it waai an nounced yesterday. Each member of the hospital board of directors has been asked to bring a car of visitors to the hospital on pilgrimage day. Inspec tion of the hospital by visitors V scheduled to start at 6 o’clock next Thursday afternoon, to be followed by supper with Dr. D. Lesesne Smith as host to the group. Members of the committee of the hospital board of directors plan ning the pilgrimage are J. G. Floyd, chairman, Mlrs. S. N. Burts and Mrs. J. N. Groce. Earlier Services Rev. John A. states that the church ‘service at the Church of the Holy Cross, Episo pal, will begin at 10 a. m., in stead of 11 o’clock during the months of July and August. Holiday For All Everybody seems to be taking a holiday on Monday, July sth, in order to give workers a two-day holiday celebration. Nearly every thing in Spartanburg has agreed to close, as well as all the nearby cities in this section. All Tryon business houses wiT be closed in cluding the Bulletin. The drug stores and cases will serve as usual.
