Kern presiding. Yhe following changes of interest were made: Rev. F. 0. Dryman of Saluda-Tryon, will go to Hill side Street church in Asheville, and Saluda-Tryon will receive Rev. M, A. Lewis from Asheville cir t'nvt invert on hack Paoe. Kiwanis Tuesday The Trvon Kiwanis club will meet on Tuesdlav at 1 p. m. at Hotel Trvon. This will be the last meeting before the district convention which meets October 28-30. Delegates from Trvon to the convention are J. N. Jackson, K. A. Bowen. C. J. Lyhch. alter nates: R. H. Bradv, Hoyt O. Prince and C. M, E&rgle. Other and their wives may attend the convention. Prom- SJment, civic leaders will speak at the business sessions. Hieh of the convention will be the Gov ernor’s banauet and reception Fri day nigh + , by the Gover nor’s ball. No speeches will be made at the big banauet, officials said. Instead, a musical extrava ganza wiU be staged for Kiwanians and tbe'r wives. Stars of this show will be famed Dorothy Baker, sonrano. and Maury Pearson, well known baritone of Spartanburg. S. C., supported bv the Charlotte male chorus, Peter Martin, xylo phone player, Michael Wise’s con cert orchestra, and several quartets. Many Reservations For P.-T. A, Party Approximately 100 places have been reserved for Tuesday nigh' for the annual Trybn P.-T. A. bridge-games party which will be held at the Pai*ish House. The Ways and Means and the Social committees of which Mrs. K. A. Bowen, Mrs. E. Perry Manville, Mrs. John Ferguson and Mrs. W. Schilletter are chairmen, have charge of the entertainment. Reservations have been made for the following: Mrs. Eunice Watson, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Arledge, Miss Helen Morgan, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Flynn, Mr. and Mrs. Carter Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar C. Rowe.
