Est. 1-31-28 Thursday, Nov. 18 Tomorrow is the day for the Annual Red Cross Roll Call in Tryon. Memberships will be re ceived at the Post Office, Missil- Pharmacy and the Blue Ridge Weavers. The committee will also visit from house to house within the city limits, in order that no one may miss the opportunity to support the Red Cross. Anyone can join the Red Cross at any time, but here in Tryon, we hope for a large en rollment tomorrow, For many years, Tryon has more than met its quota of 300 membership®. Dur ing the past year, more than S6OO has been spent for the relief of need in Polk county. The small surplus in the treasury of the Chapter has been sadly depleted. Large gifts, over and above the mere membership fee, are needed. JOIN THE RED CROSS! -Court of Honor Meets on Monday The Polk County Boy Scoult Court of Honor will be held Mon day night, November 22, at 7:30 at the Tryon school building with Dr. C. Arthur Lincoln, the chair man. presiding. Scout Executive R. M. Schiele will be present. The citizens of Mill Soring, Lynn, Co lumbus, Saluda, Green Creek and Sunnv View are cordially invited to attend this meeting and see "ome of the Scouts out to the test in their work. J. H. Gibbs. The Bulletin is making up a calendar of future events. If you are .planning par ties for November and December please send in 'your dates. It will help others in avoiding conflicts. There will be no Drama Fortnight ly Thanksgiving for the second time in many years. It used to be a part of Tryon life on Thanks giving night when late arrivals had to stand up. The Congregational annual meeting will be held Dec. 1. There will be entertainments for the college sets. Before that the Episcopalians will have a sup per on December 10, the Country club on Dec. 11. For the college set, the Shelnutts on the 23 and the Rogers on the 28 ... . Whjat has become of Bill Weigel? . . . Thanksgiving service will be held in the Presbyterian church this year with Dr. Lincoln preaching. Stopped Still: Man Arrested Sheriff W. D. Hines and depu ties captured a 40 gallon still Monday at Lake Adger. It is reported that there was also 50 gallons of “moonshine” taken and 1.000 gallons of beer destroyed. One man was arrested in the raid on the illicit outfit.
